Since 2026 started, I feel like I’ve lived 20 different lives. And I have done such a terrible job of sharing any of it.
My camera roll is overflowing. But sorting through content takes time I don’t always have. So for now, it’ll sit there. I’ll get to it eventually.
What I can do is catch you up on the very latest.
I haven’t been posting. But I have been out.
The weather in New York warmed up this week and I took full advantage. Last night Ali Kriegsman of New Motives and I had dinner, and as fabulous women do, we talked about business, beauty, and the state of the world.
One thing that stood out: the importance of building a brand world. Not just a product, not just an aesthetic — but somewhere customers can step into and feel something.
Some of our favourites doing this well right now: Lore, Topicals, and Eadem. And TONAL of courseeee.
The place to be
I also made it to The Black Beauty Club’s Founders & Friends breakfast, and it was every bit as chic as it looks.
Tomi is a one-of-one. The way she and her team bring together community around a shared vision of beauty, and genuinely amplify the voices in the room, it’s masterful. You leave feeling seen and inspired, which is not an easy thing to engineer.
TONAL hosted a brunch with them last summer, and it’s still one of my favorite things we’ve done.

Making beautiful things
We got another round of 3D molds for our custom blush packaging, and I have been taking them everyyywhere.
Placing them on retail shelves. On gondolas at Sephora. At some of the chicest boutiques and lifestyle spaces I’ve been moving through. I’ve been showing them to everyone I catch up with — watching how they open it, hearing their first reaction, noticing what they touch first.
Real time consumer testing.
I love packaging. I love making beautiful things. And when we officially move from design to production, I’ll share everything — the process, the sneak peeks, all of it. For now, just know that something very good is coming.
